WiFi connection problems [SOLVED]

Good evening, the ESP8266 module from my previous assembly failed me and I took the opportunity to change the entire project with a new PCB adjusted to the latest version of Ferduino code. Apparently everything works fine except the WiFi connection (I have not used ethernet shield).

It is well configured since with another Arduino Mega and the test code works correctly and with the option "Validate Settings" I get the correct answer.

But when the mount on the PCB does not connect and gives error # 28.

Even if I open the Serial Monitor in Atom I don't see anything in the output and I don't know what happens.

As I mentioned, it compiles and loads perfectly and apparently everything works correctly.

Welcome back!

Please check the serial monitor using the Arduino IDE and don't forget to change the baud rate to 38400.

Also make sure this line is uncommented in your code:

#define DEBUG

Moreover disconnect the plug from "Vent. Leds" connector if it's connected.

Looks like the wires order in main PCB and WiFi module is not the same (reset, GND, 5V, RX, TX) so make sure you are not inverting wires.

I have checked that there is continuity between all the pins and that they are correctly assigned between the PCB and the Wifi module. Compiling with Arduino and opening the serial monitor indicates Sync Failed !! and the rest works fine.

If I ping the address of the WiFi module from the PC, I get a response.

If I load only the "mqqt.ino" example in the mount instead of the Ferduino code the error also occurs.

If I run "mqqt.ino" with the wifi module directly connected to another Arduino Mega it works fine.

I can't think of anything about what's going on

Disconnect this Arduino from shield and try the example code with WiFi module connected directly to it.

Hello, I have disassembled everything and have started again. Now with only the display, clock and WiFi module connected to the PCB it works. I guess I must have some bad connection.

I will continue with the assembly but I think the thread can be closed
