I just completed another test with a blue module like the one Gio says that works for him and that has the integrated PCF8575TS and in my case the result is the same. Without ULN, the relay is switched on in LOW and turned off in HIGH and with the ULN the relay cannot be activated

Hi!

I told above:

Fernando Garcia wrote:
The solution could be bypass the ULN and change on code LOW to HIGH and HIGH to LOW.

But I'm not sure if PCF can manage the current of all relays.

If the circuit is working as I told above to prevent damage PCF I think that ULN could be replaced by a PNP transistor array and TD62384AP seems suitable.

I had to compile the code with the PCF8575.h library since with the mxUnifiedPCF8574.h it gives me a compilation error (I have previously installed the library).

The function digitalRead doesn't work correctly in PCF8575.h for this reason I have replaced by mxUnifiedPCF8574.h.

Show me the compiling error and let's fix.

Best regards.

I have reinstalled the library and it already works for me.

I didn't realize that the integrated TD62384AF can use it on the same base I used for ULNs so I can use the PCB without problems.

I have just placed the order, as soon as I receive them, I test them and inform them if they work.

Thanks and regards,

Don't forget to connect pin 10 (VCC) from TD62384AF to 5 V.

Hi Fernando and Jose,
I bought a PCF8575ts and mounted it on a board.
It works perfectly.
I really think the problem was the pcf8575c.

Hi!

Glad to know. :)

The green board is a custom PCB or you bought in somewhere?

Yes Fernando, It is a custom board because the pcf8575c is much larger than the PCF8575ts.
If it can be useful to José, I have a few more

Unfortunately PCF8575TS has only SSOP24 package available.

Hi,

the integrated TD62384AF just arrived and they work correctly (connecting pin 10 to 5V as you commented).

The only thing is what we already knew, the relays activate the LOW and deactivate in HIGH.
